Ever since Oaken first came on the scene, we have won recognition several times in various places for having the best GICs and savings account in Canada. And we’re proud to say that we have recently been recognized once again.
Ratesupermarket.ca, one of Canada’s leading personal finance websites, reviews banking products and credit cards across the country every year to see how they stack up against each other. They release the results in their annual Best of Finance Awards, and we’ve been invited back into the winner’s circle once more for 2019.
Our award this time was for Best Cashable GIC, and was evaluated based on total interest earned over a certain period. But seeing as we consistently offer some of the highest savings rates in Canada, perhaps we shouldn't be too surprised. In fact, we’ve won accolades in their Best of Finance Awards four times over the past five years, among others.
